Intro

I have decided to set up this website on GitHub Pages because I am just not that into social media and can’t seem to find a good solution to just write and share my findings about CJK type (which I have started to document since 2021 privately), so consider this a testing ground for now.

So allow me to introduce myself. I like to dabble with CJK font editing and typeface critique from time to time. I like Macs, PC tech and Japan, and I grew up in Singapore, a multilingual city for which Chinese is my secondary language (although ironically only on the basic level).

I have been involved with Source Han Sans/Serif GitHub repository, reporting issues since around 2018, but it took several years for me to learn CJK regional differences and how Adobe and their font vendors design the typefaces. It is indeed a deep rabbit hole I have dug into.

Moving on, I will consider publishing some of my writings that I didn’t publish years before because I felt mentally stuck for years trying to find a simple way to share my writings.
